A Jos Federal High Court has sacked the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick. The Court also ordered Chris Giwa to resume office as president of the federation. Adama Yahaya and Obinna Ogba had earlier approached the court to remove Pinnick but withdrew the suit after the intervention of former President Goodluck Jonathan. Before the court ruling, many Nigerians had demanded the resignation of Pinnick from office as they blamed him for the Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the AFCON 2017, same way they missed out on the 2015 edition.
