Five people were killed and seven others injured on Monday when a car loaded with explosives exploded near the office of Mogadishu mayor.

Local Government Spokesman, Abdi-fitah Halan, told reporters at the scene that the car exploded in Mogadishu and caused the death of five people.
“We have established the death of five civilians and seven others were injured,” Halan said.

He said the car drove to the entrance and hit the wall behind the mayor’s office before it exploded. (Xinhua/NAN)
