However, when induced Pineapple plants fruits in 14months. It is ready for harvest when the eye is pale green in the summer or fruits turn yellow-orange at the base in the winter. The fruit is harvested by bending it over and twisting to remove it from the stalk.

Harvesting before ripening increases post-harvest storage life, although harvesting when ripe is best and preferable for best fresh fruit quality.

It is important to carry out a market survey of large scale pineapple buyers, as well as how this fruit crop is sold.

You can either source from a nearby farm that has your desired variety or come over to the SW.

You see, after harvesting,a new sucker emerges. Norture for 4-6 months, after which you can induce again. With this, your pineapple produces every year during off-season.

Inducement in pineapple simply means forcing a matured pineapple plant to start producing fruit.

After Pineapple plants have been induced, the flower bud becomes visible after 8weeks. A purple bud emerges at the centre of the stem. This gradually undergo a stage called the filling phase to emerge as the pineapple fruit.
must we induce. Must we bud. Advantages or disadvantages. And do goats disturb pineapple. I'm planting on a plot of residential land with no fence yet

yomie040:
HARVESTING
Under natural condition, that is an un-induced pineapple farm, pineapples is harvested between late April to August. This can be observed around us now. The fruit usually ripens about 5 months after flowering. With irregular flowering, harvesting is spread over a long period of time, thereby bringing pineapple production from planting to harvesting between 19-20 months.

please sir @yomie040, please can I have your number for further clarification?
