(1+1+1+1+11+1+1+1+11+1)*(0+1) =30 * 1 = 30 Others solve it as 30*0+1 =0+1 =1 A few did not noticed there are two 11 digits and calculated it as 1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1*0+1 = 12 *0+1 =12 * 1 = 12 I have always hated mathematics Lol |

Obinoscopy: First off, an equation always has two parts separated by the equals sign. That's the basic property of all equations. There is only one equation from the question. The other two that seem like equations are mere what I'd call an 'incomplete mathematical expression'. 2 would be my answer. Regards, XZ |

This one is a typo biko We were always told by exam invigilators to ignore any question with a typo that made the question to have multiple possible answers. For anybody to attempt the question is the first test of his knowledge. Then that person will be given an outright bad. |

Irishrena1: So, where is d typo in the question? He was about writing eleven and space finished on the 1st line and he moved to the 2nd line. Remember, this is mathematics not english. There is no special constructions in maths, u just have to look well so that u will see everything there is to see. -2*4/-(-2) can be written in so many ways that can confuse u, and that is the idea, "to confuse u" |

herbie27: Hmm...that depends largely on the page you're looking at... See,I don't get why the break at every 11 for a first sum. Why not run it all through Till the zero; This is what I mean: 1+1+1+1+11+1+1+1+11+1=30×0+1=1, instead of: 1+1+1+1+11=15 1+1+1+11=14 1×0=0 +1=15+14+0+1=30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!what process??!! I don't think bodmas works that way...plus maths is supposed to simplify issues, that's why there are maths problems and solutions. If you're here, then we're on the same page. |

Unique04: Those created that bracket did it @ their own peril, there was no bracket in the question, thus, u don't have to solve for brackets 1st, u have to solve accordingly, start with where u saw "multiplication" 1st. It is funny though |
