Subjects of the Ward Head of Walawa hamlet, Alhaji Dauda Inuwa, accuse him of engaging in immoral activities and organizing social engagements which run contrary to Islamic injunctions
Alhaji Dauda Inuwa is also accused of preventing immunization of children from Polio exercise
The Emir of Kano Malam Muhammad Sanusi II has once again, displayed zero tolerance to indiscipline and misconduct from traditional title holders under his domain.
The Emir stated this at his palace Tuesday, April 12, when he received a delegation from Ungogo local government area who brought series of complaints against a Ward Head of Walawa hamlet, one Alhaji Dauda Inuwa from his subjects.
The Ward Head was accused of immoral activities, organizing social engagements which ran contrary to Islamic injunctions and to some extent, preventing immunization of children from Polio exercise.
Explaining further to the Emir, the district head said that his office and that of the Chief Imam have been inundated with variety of complaints from the public over the attitude of the Ward Head and resolve to bring the issue to the attention of the Emir for finding a lasting solution to the problem.
Malam Muhammad Sanusu II, while reviewing the case, ordered the immediate removal of Alhaji Dauda Inuwa as the Ward Head of Walawa and advised him to go home and relax with his family adding that public office is sacrosanct and whoever is occupying it must live above board.
He then admonished people of Walawa Village not to castigate or frustrate the deposed Ward Head and enjoined everybody to live with one another in a peaceful atmosphere.
