I've heard on several occassions that in take of cold water can make one to add weight. Pls,is this true. Lets share. |

Drinking cold water temporarily lowers your bodies temperature, and the lower your body temperature, the slower your metabolism (at that point). From there, one might say that they could add weight, but that is nonsense. For goodness sake people!, water is not a stick of butter, and is the greatest way in aiding weight loss. Also when we drink water, it passes through the stomach quite quick (so it doesn't even have a chance to sit in the belly!!), then straight into the intestines where it is absorbed into the body within 30 mins. |

you can ONLY gain weight if you consume more calories then what your body burns in a day. one pound of fat is 3,000 calories. water has no calories and therefore cannot cause you to gain weight. any food or flavored drink contains calories. water and air do not. |
