– Former presidential aide, Chief Doyin Okupe has indicted his former boss, Goodluck Jonathan
– Okupe says the Jonathan administration which he was part of, didn’t take the Yoruba race seriously
– Okupe made the statement at a political gathering in Lagos today, April 21
Former senior special assistant on public affairs to the immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan; Chief Doyin Okupe stirred up controversy today in Lagos with a comment against the government of his former boss.
Okupe, who was speaking at the gathering of South west chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said the government of Jonathan didn’t take the Yoruba race seriously.

The former presidential aide comment was informed by the rumours making rounds in the PDP that the party has zoned the slot of the party chairmanship to the North east region of the country.

Okupe called on party leaders to avoid the pitfalls of the Jonathan administration which he suggested erred in its zoning policies within its government and the PDP.
”Yorubas are not slaves, we deserve the PDP chairmanship seat.” Okupe submitted.https://www.naij.com/806988-jonathan-government-didnt-take-yoruba-race-seriously-doyin-okupe.html?source=index_main

Didn't take Yoruba race seriously
which means he repeatedly shortchanged Yorubas ,
But Yoruba people never screamed marginalization
neither did Yoruba call for secession

Instead , Yoruba waited for the opportuned time and took his power as a president, Legally , without protest

You should all learn from this

That is because una get sense and sabi how to relate. Some people sense no reach like that. What they know is how to blackmail than build relations and bridges. By now some people should have being the best bridge builders,so that when 2019 reach the zones for dey jump over each other to align with them. But they choose to antagonize and blackmail most of the zones.Form alliance with people into voting you and have mutual sense with them. Rather they opt for blackmail or dash them on a platter.

Only little kids throw tantrums, grown ups take their time, study the situation & make the most "beneficial" decision for themselves..

It's not about getting even, it's called getting it right.

Which race did Jonathan take seriously?.... Did Jonathan take even his Ijaw race seriously?.... Apart from one or two appointments to individuals (strictly to fill up their personal pockets), is there any tangible (on the ground) evidence to prove that GEJ took the Ijaw or even his fanatical Igbo supporters seriously?... Doyin Okupe should park well!

We never took the Drunken Master serious too.

By the time he realised his folly, he turned Lagos to Aso Rock, waking up and sleeping there for days before the election, promising heaven and earth, begging both the old and the young, prostrating for different royalties.

He was still shown the way to his father's hometown.
