Nigeria's Minister of Environment, Amina J. Mohammed today met with international superstar Akon in New York -to hold discussion on the Great Green wall project, a pan-African proposal to “green” the continent from west to east in order to battle desertification.

Good development...The African man should rise to the responsibility of protecting his enviroment, taking his destiny in his own hands.

btw, Mrs Amina, when will you people begin the cleansing of Ogoniland and other communities, of oil spillage? You told us that it will begin in a matter of weeks and that it will take up to 20 - 30 years to accomplish. If Ogoniland should take 30 years to fix; dont you think that greening Africa from West to East will take 25-30 centuries to accomplish? How prepared are you people for this year's flood? what of communities battling with erosion?

You left Nigeria your area of assignment, to fly up and down inorder to green Africa from West to East; when to rail Nigeria from West to South dey hard you people. That una plan to squander Akon hard earned money, e no go workk. Anybody that comes to help Africa, you people will divert the money to your private accounts, this one will not work for you people.

Madam, you are Nigeria's minister of enviroment and not Africa's minister of enviroment. Charity should begin at home first.

Is Akon a consultant in that field or they just want him to be a part of the campaign?
