Lol.. Why won't they slow down in beer when a bottle of beer is now the same amount with a litre of fuel... So it's either you drink and don't drive or you don't drink and drive.. And most Nigerians will settle for the later.

Perhaps consumption level may have reduced in the South West where Guiness has their most loyal customers, but not in the South South or South East. Enter Owerri or Ph, you wil see everyone drinking Hero proper.

Kudos to SABMiller. They have targeted and taken control of a good section of the market.

I saw this coming a long time ago.

The only thing that is keeping Guiness Nigeria afloat now is probably Origin herbal beer. But recently with the resurgence of Trophy from Consolidated beweries, the beer market share has been largely divided among Trophy , Star lager, and Origin. Others like Guilder, 33, Harp and Roots from NB are just crawling unlike the former.
