I use a 2005 Toyota sienna and I've always noticed d clicking sound few months after purchase but its getting worse now. The sound occurs only when am driving in low gear i.e gear1&2. It stops when d car accelerates to d 3rd gear . And it doesn't make d sound when I rev it in stationary mode. Pls I need help in solving d issue before it damages my engine. No money to buy engine now oh. Abeg, my pple. |

BoomBoom101: the sound is unknown to me, that's why I don't know how to respond. If it's a ping sound, it could be a buildup of carbon in the combustion area, causing abnormal combustion, it could be faulty knock sensors, it could be overheating and many other factors. If it's rattling, it could be a worn engine part. Bring it for free diagnosis if in lagos. (it will include a free scan for you) |

I don't know if automatics have anything similar to intermediate drive shift. |

Ricmayak1: Hello Ricmayak1, Some cars actually have "I" Intermediate on their shifters. Seen in some American Chevrolet and Saturn cars. However some have "D1", "D2", "B", "M" Manual and "S" Sport. Some of these gears have varied functions but they can be used for related purposes depending on how you drive. Autojoshng |
