A company requires accountants for its different branches in Nigeria (Lagos, Port Harcourt & Abuja)

SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB ASSIGNMENT
Reporting to the Finance Department, the role will provide support on financial operations, financial reporting, accounting, accounts payables, expense management and cash control processes as required.
The position offers the right candidate the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a team of accomplished finance specialists affording him/her technical and professional development.

MAIN ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
 Process purchase orders, invoices, receipts and payments through purchase ledger or cash book.
 Prepare materials for periodic business reviews with executive management
 Provide transactional and operations support in several enterprise process areas – procure to pay, order to cash and payroll.
 Sort and distribute finance post as necessary.
 Assist in Bank transaction (payment, reconciliation etc.)
 Responsible for regular interface with the company’s designated banks and maintain proper and systematic filing of documents
 Responsible for petty cash of the finance unit
 Assist in ensuring that the books of accounts are kept in accordance with the company’s policies and international best practice.
 Any other duties assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:
 Minimum of B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Banking & Finance or relevant numerical discipline
 ICAN, ACCA - Membership

EXPERIENCE:
 At least two years (including NYSC) experience working in the Finance/Accounts department
 Experience of working in the Media & Entertainment industry (added advantage).

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
 Exposure to at least one accounting software package
