Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar says it’s impossible to convince workers to make sacrifices while elected public officers are living comfortable lifestyles that are inconsistent with the economic melt of the country. Atiku, in his 1st of May message, said that despite the gloom surrounding the economy of the nation, with the support of the workers and the citizens of the country , President Muhammadu Buhari will lift the country to new heights and fast development.
He further noted that if the Buhari Anti-war against corruption is added to a culture of cutting cost and wasting much needed resources would be freed up which will eventually lead to a reawakening of the economy through infrastructure and high jobs yielding sectors.

Atiku added,“President Muhammadu Buhari alone cannot transform the fortunes of the country.”
“It requires everyone – elected and appointed Government officials, the legislature and the judiciary, the public and private sectors and ordinary Nigerians – working together in faith and commitment to bring about the desired change and development.”
“With dwindling revenue from oil, it has become imperative for us to bake a bigger cake that will be big enough for all partakers.
To achieve this, we need to be more creative as a government and more productive as a people.”
“We all need to make sacrifices in line with the realities of the time. It is not enough to ask workers to make sacrifices while public office holders are ostensibly immune from it. Such a situation promotes industrial disharmony.”

Neither can he do it through the selective prosecution of the corrupt. A situation that has led to people like Atiku Abubakar walking free when he should be in jail for being one of the most corrupt in Nigeria.

sometimes it is the blind who leads the way; if keeping corruption in check lies in the advice of a corrupted being, why not take it? Other times, we just gotta know- when a stone hits the pitcher or the pitcher hits a stone, it is always bad for the pitcher. The masses are dealt a hard blow with these economical shortcomings. I hope for a True Change

What are these two planning? To confuse Nigeria with Fulani Herdsmen? As VP, Atiku abandoned OBJ to work alone and OBJ carried on democratically and successfully to the admiration of the world. Yaradua/GEJ, and GEJ/Sambo worked well also to unite
North and South like a True Federation. And now PMB/PYO presents the most qualified .Presidency that the world is watching right now to drive this Country out of its present doldrums. Barring ethnic chauvinism and out right selfishness,
Buhari should cooperate with NASS to get the best economy and Federal system that will be the envy of the world.
