A Qur'anic Science Laboratory would be constructed by Ganduje Foundation in Kano state to assist learners to recite the Holy Book fluently, its founder, who is also the state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has hinted. The primary aim of the Language laboratory is to provide learners proficiency in reading and reciting Quran with correct accent and intonation using appropriate software. Equipment such as Master console and student consoles, Interfacing and head-sets, microphones and ReLan Pro software are some of the basic facilities expected to be installed in the language laboratory. Dr. Ganduje announced this while declaring close the Zone 4 Qur'anic Competition, organized by Ganduje Foundation, at School for Arabic Studies, Kano on Saturday, added that the foundation would ensure that the proposed laboratory is not only functional and responsive to the needs of Quranic teachers and students in the state. As the Ganduje Foundation clocks 20 years of service to humanity this year, it is planning to invest more in the education of the younger generation, particularly enabling them to learn Quranic sciences. On the celebration of two decades of its existence, Governor Ganduje said a special programme and awards to its outstanding staff would be organized, stressing that the foundation has done a lot in transforming the lives of the people especially in the rural areas of Kano. Turning to the organizers of the foundation’s Quranic recitation competition, the governor commended them for promoting brotherhood, equity and fair play among competitors, urging the participants to work hard in order to excel. In their separate speeches, the Foundation’s Director General, Alh. Sani Tofa and Chairman, Kano state Council of Ulama, Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil, respectively, appreciated the governor’s philanthropic disposition and his skill in managing the foundation for 20 years, appealing to the well to do in the society to emulate him. Smh these northern leaders just keep showing their stupidity daily. What is the governor's business opening a Quranic lab Nigeria is a secular country. What's so foolish about what they are doing is that even in Islamic countries they don't do such rubbish. They invest in technology and proper infrastructure that is actually beneficial to their people. Yesterday I watched on Al Jazeera how Qatar has one of the most advanced molecular laboratories in the world. But this idiot thinks that his priority is to teach people how to read and pronounce the Quran properly. Bunch of arsewipes. |
