Prepa is a mobile/web socio-learning/E-testing platform, improving the quality of education at the secondary school level in West Africa by creating a common platform for knowledge and idea sharing between students and high quality network of Instructors, in Preparation for their Pre-University examination.

The goal is to increase the success rate at the Pre-University examination in West Africa. As a result of mass failure in this examination, many students have been prevented from furthering their education at the tertiary level, thereby ending up as secondary school drop-outs.



Prepa started as a result of the mass failure that happens yearly when students write their Pre-University/Polytechnic examination. A shocking statistics has shown that 3 out of every 10 students who sit for the West African Examination in Nigeria and Ghana, manages to score above average. This also implies that 7 out 10 parents cry and experience sadness, when their kids are denied of the access to Tertiary Education. It is a worst situation in country like Gambia, where 1 out of every 10 students scores above average in the Pre-University Examination. Our validation efforts shows that this happened due to lack of proper preparation and low quality of education at the secondary school level in West Africa.

Prepa reduces the failure rate at Secondary school level by providing students with access to over 30,000 Past Questions and Answers with detailed explanation and also creating a community for the students to connect with high quality instructors. This instructors help students in clearing their doubts on various subjects. Students can now easily track their progress as they practice using the Prepa Performance Analysis Tools. This helps students know their strength and weaknesses, thereby preparing adequately.

Prepa has launched on Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone. Over 5,000 students preparing for Pre-University examination in Nigeria have used Prepa, and their testimony have shown that Prepa is a relevant product.

The desktop version of Prepa has just been completed and will be rolled out in June for students to practice in their homes by using it on desktop computers.

The web version is currently under active development and the plan is to deploy to coaching centers and various private schools in July.
