Please who has any idea what will be required to set up 3 large projector screens in an auditorium. The prices of the things and the considerations.

Questions:
- What kind of auditorium is it? Lectures, entertainment. THis would determine the kind of content that is shown on the projector screens, either video or powerpoint slides. This would also enable you to determine the kind of projectors you would require.
- Illumination and size of the hall. How many windows are there? Would it be mostly used in the day or night time?
- Positioning of the projectors. This is necessary if the auditorium meant for rent as customers would bring several playback mechanisms from laptops to DVD players and you wouldn't want to clutter the audience space.
- If you are playing video with sound, How would you connect the playback mechanism to the PA system?

Its to b a church, that has the pastor preaching and screens showing the pastor and altar in areas where the altar is not visible.

why do you need 3 large ones in just one auditorium? how large is the auditorium?

i don't know much about pricing but lightening is very important. u want to put the screen in a place that has shades or as little light as possible (unless u can turn them off).
and also making sure whatever you're connecting (camera, dvd etc) is compatible with the projector.

and what sojiguns said

Not the size per say, but that some areas of the church do not have a good view of the altar and the preacher, hence the need to have in place different videos showing the preacher in areas where he would ordinarily not be seen. Imagine a pastor preaching 3 audiences seperated by different halls within same compound.

its very simple,
what u need like everybody says is 3 projectors. now the arrangment of the projectors is crucial.
if you like the pulpit to have a view of the projector, obviously one projector should be at the back with the the screen of course.
If the auditorium can be conveniently divided into 3 place where each section will have a clear view of the screen do it. which means you will need 4 projectors and screen altogether.

you dont need 4 PCs, one is enough with a VGA splitter, like 8 channel-VGA splitter(in case of further expansion)
obviously the VGA cables running from the Splitter to the projector will be very long(dont know the size of your auditorium) but you will get one dont worry.
your system and Splitter will be very close by. then u need a good software not the powerpoint stuff people use, I like EasyWorship. u can do bible verse, video, newsflash and stuff with it.

P.S for neatness try runnin ur cables thru the rooof. or some nice conduit.

@Okizle, very nice one. @poster, if the lighting coming in is too bright, you might have visual challenges. If it is set up inside a building, it male the work easier for you. Easy worship would do all the mixing of announcements and bible verses for you while the video is still streaming live. You can also use av cables instead of the bulky vga cables. You have like an s-video to av connection. Quite easy, but if you have issues or need to buy a projectoryou can give me a call.

EasyWorship is cool but not free. A free one you can download (which works like EasyWorship) is EasiSlides. Also got provision from 3 bible versions but the newsflash might not be large enough.

Just checked EasyWorship's site and the 2009 version costs $299 versus $0.00 for EasiSlides
