You have some point there. But what happens when that person grows up and cannot rationalise those beliefs any more? Religion is a two way road, one from God another to God, you can't force/fake that. Not necessary. THEY were similarly victims of child abuse. What THEY believed was drilled into them when they were vulnerable little children too. The key is to break that generational cycle of abuse by declaring yourself FREE of the teachings forcibly imparted on you as a child, and refusing to abuse your offspring.

There's a fundamental difference between religion and education.

Education does not impart a belief system. It imparts quantifiable empirical knowledge and real-world skills, including analytical skills. Where done right, education presents you with ALL sides to an issue, leaving you to make your choice on which is best. For instance, education teaches you that there are various economic systems, such as capitalism, socialism, communism, and mixed economy, comprising elements from both capitalism and socialism.

Education doesn't say ''you must believe in capitalism alone or you will be burnt to death''.
