Just when GEJ was approaching the twilight of his tenure, and many Nigerians were venting their discontentment at his overall performance in office, Buhari re-appeared, singing the song of CHANGE, and having no clue on how to CHANGE Nigeria. The APC adopted him and together they threw their CHANGE mantra at us like a bait thrown into the river. This camouflage beclouded our subtle minds and we swallowed it hook, line and sinker. We voted massively for CHANGE and ensure that Buhari unseats GEJ.
After purchasing a new vehicle of CHANGE for our country, we quickly jumped inside to relax, waiting for our newly sworn in driver of CHANGE to take his seat and drive us along his well defined path of CHANGE till we reach the promised land.
But Alas! Our driver CHANGED his hobby and became a passenger, boarding planes and jets to different parts of the world on regular basis for nearly a year now. His shameless supporters claimed that he is traveling around to seek solution to our problems, but our problems lies here and still stares us in the face.
How many presidents has visited Nigeria the way Buhari visited other countries? What about the cost of his trips at a time when Nigeria is broke? What about the disappointed Nigerians who are still inside the 'vehicle of CHANGE' waiting for Buhari to drive them along as he promised? When will he be through with his incessant trips and settle down to face our challenges?
