The budget should be declassified and Nigerians availed the opportunity of perusing it. Its contents should not be shrouded in secrecy. We need to know what the plans are in order to keep abreast of its implementation. 1 Like |

Aside democracy being redefined through unethical propaganda, the process of preparing and signing budget has never been this childish and cosmetic in Nigeria's history. From the president personally presenting a padded and error-filled budget proposal to the National Assembly amidst fanfare, down to unnecessary time-wasting theatrics in signing the budget proper during which the entire National Assembly top ranking echelon was in attendance, everything was characterised by naivety and dramas similar to Babasuwe and Mr. Ibu's cosmic shows. Governance has never been this pedestrian and kiddish since our return to democracy APC is ruling Nigeria as if they were never near corridor of power at any level in time past. So disgusting. |
