– A civil society organization have mandate the
chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu to investigate
corrupt activities within the commission
– The organization asked Magu to make his decisions
on corrupt allegations within the commission clear to
Nigerians

A civil society organization, Joint Action Coalition of Civil
Societies in Nigeria have called on the chairman of the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC),
Ibrahim Magu to investigate corrupt activities in the
commission.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, the national coordinator of
the organization, Ikpa Isaac asked the EFCC chairman to
come out clear and tell Nigerians his decision over corrupt
allegations within the commission.
Isaac also said it is obvious Nigerians are not ready to
condone any form of corruption like in the previous times.
He also called on Magu to give explanations why his tenure
under the anti-corruption mandate of President
Muhammadu Buhari is still allowing some forms of
corruption within the EFCC.

“We are witnessing high profile prosecution of our treasury
looters that our nation can never come out of corruption. In
observing this war, our attention has been drawn towards
the in house corruption orchestrated by some staff of the
Anti graph agencies especially the EFCC which must be
tackled if the war must succeed,” Isaac said.
“For example, the Pension Transitional Arrangement
Department (PTDA), director general, Mrs Nellie Mayshak
was sacked over stealing of 50 million on monthly bases for
her period in office.
“The EFCC desk officer posted to PTAD Mr Habibu Aliyu was
also petition by the staff of PTAD of collecting N5
million monthly to cover the mess, for the period between
2010 till she was sacked.
“Our worries now is that, the same Habibu Aliyu is the chief
investigator of the same corruption while he has being part
of the sane personality under his watch as the desk officer
if PTAD has not been able to properly investigated,” he
added.
Since the present administration came into power, the EFCC
under the leadership of Ibrahim Magu have made several
arrests involving high profile Nigerians.
Some of these Nigerians have either being charged to court
or are still under the commission’s custody.

Charity begins at home they say.... but I feel the EFCC can't begin to investigate itself at this fragile moment. Let's jail some idiots, then we can take an inside view.

That will definitely not affect the ongoing cases in their custody.

Truth will definitely prevail over Falsehood no Matter how much time.
