The sad thing about marriages in the 21st century is that men (boys) want a Proverbs 31 woman, but they are not willing to be God's leading men. Women are created to multiply whatever you give them.
You want a very loving and submissive wife who will do your laundry, cook delicious meal for you, and call you her king. That's a very good and biblical desire. But I have a question for you: Deep down in your heart, do you think you deserve such from that woman? When last did you take the stress off her? When last did you provide for her? Are you living the way a man should live? If you don't know what your responsibilities are, let me help you. There are three major things a man must provide for his wife and children
Food
Shelter
Clothes
That your wife is working isn't an excuse for you to fail in your duty. You lie on the couch, playing video games all day and hanging out with some useless friends at night. You don't know how your wife and children eat and clothe. All you know is how to climb and come down. She works her life out and comes homes tired only for you to start demanding sex. Sex, thats all you think of.
The woman started aging before her time the very day she married you. And there you are telling whoever cares to listen that your wife does not respect you. Sir, you are just like any other man out there. You are completely useless to her. She can easily get a man to sleep with and make babies if that's what she wanted. She wants a man, a real man to call her own and that's why she married you. She wants a man that she can trust to protect her.
Get yourself off that chair and go to work. Stop being lazy and running with the excuse that women are the ones making it in the 21st century. You are simply a lazy man. Men like you are out there sweating, tilling the ground, and keeping their families. Stop being lazy.
It's an entirely different case if you were very hardworking and committed to your wife only for circumstances beyond your control to place you where you currently are. If you treated her well when you had it, she MUST treat you nicely and adore you now that you don't have. She must help you to get back on your feet. But sir, are you willing to get back on your feet? You are not a failure because you failed; you are a failure because you have refused to get up from where you failed.
God bless every hardworking man out there who works daily, sweating, and having sleepless nights just to provide for his family. May God bless the labor of your hands. May you never join in singing the shameful song of "it doesn't matter if she's the one feeding the man". It matters because your sons have no role model in you and your wife is married but single.
