Almost all the entire staff of federal medical centre yenagoa are on strike because of the poor management of staff salaries, since January members of staff are being paid 49% of their total salaries and this has caused untold hardship to the majority of fmc staff. Some go home with barely nothing, also considering the current economic woes in the state, the hardship is unbearable. After series of negotiations between staff and management which has yielded absolutely nothing, some unions have ordered their members to embark on indefinite strike, while some unions embarked on warning strike.
