The most independent thinkers in Nigeria! shocked

I remember 2012 and the manner of insults, blackmail cajoling and outright hate they faced in Nairaland for not "joining the crowd" and protesting against the Subsidy removal. They were called bigots, haters of Nigerian people and all sorts of names.

In the end, they boldly stood their ground despite all odds and history is vindicating them.

How important it is to unshackle yourself from groupthink!!!!!

[size=14pt]When it comes to independent thinking, I give it to Yorubas. Yorubas think for themselves, not for tribe or what other Southern states thinks. Yorubas have been called betrayers and backstabbing for not joining the anti-Northerner bandwagon.

Because we were tired of PDP's 16 years misrule, we created another party that was able to overthrow the biggest political party in Africa (PDP). In 2011, we supported a minority over a majority and he won. Because of his cluelessness, we chose someone better and he won.

Currently, Yoruba politicians are the most vocal and bold in politics. They've managed to corner both APC and PDP parties. Yorubas have no fear speaking out against anyone, including the government.

It would be a shame to undermine and underrate the Yoruba race. We are unwavering and unstoppable!! We are systematic and patient in our approach.

We. Are. Yorubas.

This is a trying time for all.

Yorubas don't expect Buhari to reverse 16 years of PDP misrule within a year.

We Yorubas continue to stand with the government of Nigeria.

May the SW continue to grow. May Nigeria continue to grow.

"Standing" with the government ( the establishment) and holding sway to populist ideas for political advantage is "independent thinking" for some Nigerians.

Buahaha!!!!!

nonsense. This 16 year rule of pdp is already getting stale.. Buhari has destroyed Nigeria worse than pdp did in 16 years.. Apart from being factastically corrupt, he is an economic illiterate. You are just looking for a way to console yourself from the calamity and shame of voting a dumb and clueless president. How can a people who claim to be educated rally round a coup plotter and medieval thinking economic illiterate like Buhari. The same fayose you are now trying to claim, it was only igbos that supported him through the times

Hahaha Ibos are known as 'Any Government In Power'. Your leaders have been kissing Buhari's ass or staying mute since this administration began.

Which of your leaders spoke against the increase of fuel price? Surprise me by naming 2.

Buharis Govt have showed folks like you that igbos can stand fiercely against a sitting president. Igbo leaders like Ekweremmadu, Iwuanyawu, ezeife have either been keeping mute or they are now yorubas.. lol

There are things people do not know, if Igbo nation says No to anything there is nothing cheap blackmail and evil propaganda can do to waiver or check their view about anything. But if there say yes trust me they don't speak with double mouth, their yes is yes, as they will follow it through tick and thin. Buhari should work to also put ndi igbo in his scheme of things n watch how he will reap big. People greatest fear is how the Igbo support things, they only turn to tribalism because it is the only thing that brings Nigeria to unity when ever they hear Igbo.
