At N340/$ Now, How Will Pms Be Sustained @ N145/l If Fg Bases Exchange @ N298/$ by Gaskia: 2:51pm On May 13, 2016
FG says PMS will go for a maximum of N145 per liter,
and that marketers will have to source forex from the secondary market.
Expectedly, this will mount pressure on the forex parallel market as Dollar has gone from N320 to N340/$ in three days.
Contrastingly, FG based the pump price ceiling on N298/$.
My question then is, how will the marketers access Dollar at N298/$ to maintain the ceiling of N145 per liter?
Will FG make up for the variation? If yes, then this is another subsidy, if no, then how will they sustain it?
If it will not be sustained, then should we brace ourselves to buy higher than N145/L?
Also, where will NNPC source its forex from? parallel market too?

Please let the enlightened ones clarify.

Thank you.
