Just wondering how the FG can claim deregulation when regulators like DPR and PPPRA still exist. I believe deregulation means absolutely no regulation on price and the market.

Also, if NNPC imports at official 199 forex rate, how can independent marketers compete with NNPC when they get forex at 341.

Govt should fully deregulate this sector so anyone can import. All they need to do is pay duties and tax to the govt at the port and govt inspects the products to ensure compliance with standards. No licenses required. Anyone should be able to import fuel like we imports cars or toothpicks
