For those who don’t know, the Star Wars actor was born in Peckham, south London, to Nigerian parents, Abigail and Samson. The 24 year old British actor best known for playing Finn in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The actor announced on his Twitter yesterday that he’s planning a trip to the fatherland and understandably much of Naija Twitter went apeshit. Boyega whose parents hail from the western part of Nigeria has never made his heritage and Yoruba culture a secret, never shying away from opportunities to claim his African identity.
