The only people that seem to support those criminals are iPod miscreants. Yet they'd never use their own hands to bomb government infrastructure in their own lands- but they are more than ready to cheer on anyone who seeks to destroy the lands and properties located in the Niger Delta.

They say it is the only language the Nigerian government understands, and then I asked- if you know this is the best language to speak, why not do same in your region since you feel as aggrieved and marginalised as the people blowing up pipelines? The answer I got was the most shocking of all: the respondent went "it is because there is NOTHING to bomb in the SE". cheesy

Why don't they bomb the fed Unis, FIRS buildings, etc?? Why aren't they bombing the pipelines that pass through the SE?? All they do is get excited and encourage some crooks to lay waste to the ND region while they feign brotherhood.[/s]

Shame.

Yes, no one is happy with their actions, but ateke tom, don't you think this is a case of kettle calling pot black. The NDA graduated from ateke tom, ekpemupolo, asari dokubo university, creek. You are condemning them after handing ouer the baton to them. You people were givee billions of naira and out of greed you failed to settle your foot soldiers. Buhari should know that probe, should begin with you all to explain how you all came about billions of naira doing nothing. What work was asari dokubo doing to earn money to build university in cotonu? As ekpemupolo is being hunted so all of you should be hunted becos you all started what is today's NDA which you cannot escape being hunted. There is another one saying jonathan founded NDA just to exempt himself, you will also explain what work you did to earn millions of naira. Know it that if jonathan goes down today, you all will follow him. Buhari, be aware that once a deadly militant is always a deadly militants becos it is in their blood.

‪#‎OCCUPYINGMINDS‬: ‪#‎NIGERDELTAMILITANTS‬...Every time a Crude Flow Station is Destroyed by Militants in the Niger Delta, The Environment is Damaged; Our Land is Polluted and Our Communities are subjected to more hardships...Let the Bombing Continue, who will lose?...The Government of PMB is dragging the Nigerian Economy away from Crude Oil; Lagos State has Joined the League of Oil Producing States and the Northern Part of Nigeria whose Reserves have been cynically suppressed over the years will begin production within the next months to two years. With time, We from the Niger Delta would have destroyed our Lands so much that future generation will curse us their Fathers and Mothers for killing their dreams. Let the Stupidity Continue my People...Don't stop the blowing up of pipelines.
Everyone of us thinks that a Blown Pipeline is an attack on PMB and His Government of Change...Insanity on display I must say. Kano and Lagos are Leading the way in Tomatoes Paste Production and Tomatoes don dey scarce shebi? The Northern Landmass alone is about 4 times the entire Landmass of the SS and the SE; Agriculture will revolutionize the North within the next decade...We from the Niger Delta will use our Oil to soak Garri and we think we are punishing Nigeria? Think Again, but Kontinu.
I have been reliably informed, that the More Pipeline we blow-up, the more the Resolve of this President to get the Nigerian Economy off oil...The More the Presidency blocks loopholes; The More the desire for alternative Revenue; The More the Nigerian People get pissed off by our Stupidity. The Future is Lost to the Greedy, Selfish Demons of Today. Blow Pipelines if you can, Nigeria is moving on. We have a President who is capable of making the hard decisions and willing to firmly sustain those hard choices. Blow Pipelines abeg. Let Nigeria Suffer and Let our land be wasted. Kontinu killing your own future by your own hands.
WEEP NOT FOR THE NIGER DELTA!!!
OUR ENEMIES ARE WITHIN!!!

I have checked the demands of the militants but can't find anything wrong with their demands.

Here are 8 of their 10 demands.
1. Implementation of the report of the 2014 National Conference
2. Oil bloc ownership to reflect 60 per cent for oil producing states and 40 per cent for non-oil producing states
3. Re-establishment of the Nigerian Maritime University at Okerenkoko
4. Apologies from minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi to the people of Niger Delta
5. Cleaning up of all the polluted environments of the Niger Delta
6. Release of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
7. APC members indicted of corruption be arrested and prosecuted
8. Amnesty programme for Niger Delta ex-militants be well funded

Number 4 makes no sense!

And as for number 6? Buhari won't care!

Yes am from the SS, I think their demand is reasonable.

is it reasonable enough for them to cripple the economy?

Do you know the ripple effects of their actions?

loss of jobs!
tension in the region!
scaring away investors!
enviromental polution & degradation!
electricity blackout!
loss of revenue for the nation & invariably for NDDC, Minstry of ND, the various ND states
the list goes on

The problem with the ND doesn't lie with the government only but also with the people & its leaders

Setting aside the failure of the government(the state governments, NDDC, Min of ND, the various OPADEC [oil producing development agency across the ND states]

setting all these aside which represent the government, do you know how much the various oil producing communities get from the respective oil companies right from the exploration & production companies to the servicing companies down to construction companies?

all those monies ends up in the pockets of the youth leaders, cheifs, community chairmen, kings etc

so government has failed agreed, what about these monies from these companies?

even the so called reformed militants, what have they done for their respective communities?

have you heard anyone doing anything? Asari left his beloved ND & Flew all the way to republic of benin to cite a university!

government hasnt been able to utilize the 13% effectively, when given 100%, it will be the same story

not until corruption is dealt with!

not until patriotism is instilled!

not until the leaders of the ND puts to use the funds they have recieved to good use

it will be the same story

Yes am from the SS, I think their demand is reasonable.

oil companies are taxed by the various communities in so many ways before their operation is allowed to go on

e.g.
An oil company want to build a gas plant, the community can say build us a school first or a road etc

the same community will demand that they will be the ones to build it, contracts are awarded & the contractor who is probably a chief/king or strong man in the community ends up doing a shabby job or not executing the contract at all

since the condition has been met, the company goes ahead to do their thing & the community is left with a bad road or no road at all

the company cannot interfere or probe why the contract was not executed or Shabbly done else you end up having issues with the community & invariably a setback on their project, so they do eyes right

the very people who are in the position to cry out, whoose voice will be heard are the very same people who got the contract

so who is to blame in the scenario?

the government or the oil company?

this scenerio was used to illustrate that the deprivation of the ND isn't soley caused by the government!

on the issue of government, GEJ failed woefully, he only empowered a few individuals & left the region the way it was

peace was achieved in the ND in his time because he settled the few powerful ones at a price, which we are paying now & will continue to pay

why didn't he use his power as head of government to ensure that massive development is carried out in ND?

instead NDDC, Min of ND, the various OPADEC were used as conduit for embezzlement!

what did he do about the so called "oil block ownership imbalance" ?

abeg the story goes on
