Ever since the announcement of removal of petroleum subsidy by the Federal Government from ₦86.50 to ₦145, Nigerians from all spheres of life including the NLC, TUC and Civil Societies have all been making know their opinions. This is the latest policy change of the APC led Federal government.
The beauty of democracy is that every citizen has the right to freedom of expression and speak. But in the midst of all these hullabaloo one man whose call to protest has not please most people is Senator Dino Malaye. His senator representing Kogi west in the Senate. His man that has always swim and dine with controversies at any given time.
Dino has is popularly call, always work on the gullibility of Nigerians. But of recent Nigerian youths seem to have realized they were been scam by this man for hs own selfish interest.
Nigerian youths remembered in 2006 it was this same Dino through his thuggery hormone brought the then 6th Assembly under the then Speaker Hon. Dimeji Bankole to be known as house of dishourable members, which the clips is still very much available in media houses.
Senator Dino we reliably gathered always feels out with his pay masters when the sharing formula is on more favourable.
We not forget in a hurry how during the past administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan. It was senator Dino melaye the chief anti-corruption crusader who came to prominence by organizing youth in the scorching sun of Abuja to protest against corruption and against the removal of petroleum subsidy. Too many Nigerians then Hon. Dino was the kind of leader the youths look unto for direction, no wonder he won the heart of APC national leadership that he was coronated the party candidate. He also rides on this chameleon strategy to defeat senator Smart Adeyemi of the PDP in the last election.
Basking on the euphoria on been a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria . Senator Dino began to show his constituent and Nigerians his real self, that is not a commoner as he aws mistaken to be, he no longer share the pain of the masses he claimed to represent. The one time anti-corruption crusader now has an insatiable taste for extravagant life style showcasing his wealth to the people he claimed to represent, not raising any motion that will affect the life of the masses but turning himself into the official attack dog of the senate president Sen. Bukola Saraki, for Dino constituency allowances is for personal use.
We now know that selfish interest is what influences his allegiance at every giving time not national interest as we were made to believe in the past.
Admitted the present policy of removal of PMS subsidy at this present time without considering the hardship Nigerians are facing daily as a result of bad state of the economy. Notwithstanding we are not prepare to join your protest senator Dino at the expiration of your seven days ultimatum to the federal government.
We know who is beaten the drum you are dancing to, protest with your family and your material possessions. Wishing you a peaceful and violence free protest
