Manchester United have been woken up by the concerning news that Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea could leave Old Trafford as early as beginning of June for an overdue transfer to Real Madrid.

Spanish shot stopper was subject of a collapsed deadline transfer to Real Madrid last summer when he was ultimately ended up staying at Manchester United due to late submission of documents which sparked a war of words between Manchester United and Real Madrid with both clubs refusing to take the blame and pointing fingers at each other.

De Gea’s paperwork was not filed before the midnight Spanish transfer deadline leaving goalkeeper distraught about the late twist to an incredible day. Real Madrid were working into the early hours of the next day to try and persuade the Spanish authorities to sanction the deal, but strict rules in La Liga forced the deadline deal to collapse.

Manchester United insisted they had prepared everything in time and some to spare, pushing the blame to their Spanish counterparts and causing bad blood to stir between the two European powerhouses who were engaged in big business endeavours in the past.
