When everyday people become famous, especially in Nigeria, the next way to go is by bagging endorsement deals. These endorsement deals mean the celebrities will become brand ambassadors. But we have questions because: 1) Is Forte oil asking Nigerians to buy their products just because Tiwa Savage looks fine in their uniform? The ambassadorship didn’t kuku bring us fuel during the scarcity. 2)Let’s not forget Iyanya and his reported N165 million deal with Zinox. Is he supposed to be teaching us about using computers when he didn’t know the difference between bed and bedroom in his own song? 3)We were genuinely confused when OAP and comedienne, Lolo, got endorsed by a micro-finance bank. Is she supposed to crack free jokes for everybody they give a loan to or what? 4)Socialite, creative analyst and model, Tania bagged an endorsement deal for Last Shot energy drink. Did they sign Tania so Nigerians can finally get to know their energy drink? Nobody kuku still knows what Last shot is sha. source:http://zikoko.com/general/case- nigerians-brand-ambassador/ Lalasticlala, Seun. 1 Like 1 Share

5) Vitafoam reportedly signed Funke Akindele for 20 million Naira in 2013. Do they think Nigerians will buy their mattress because Funke smiled widely in this ad? 6)Toyin Aimakhu’s long-term deal with IT solutions company, Vas2Nets is interesting. Which IT solutions is she supposed to provide with this deal? 7)Omoni Oboli is definitely natural hair goals and a brilliant actress, and maybe that’s why Arik Air signed her. Do they think signing Omoni will make Nigerians forgive them for their terrible flight delays? Noble is one of the few Igbo guys to slay in an Agbada and yes, he’s also an ambassador for Casper & Gambini’s. And why does a restaurant need to be endorsed by a celebrity? Is he going to start giving all of us free food and drinks? 1 Like 1 Share

Funny enough, you see some of these ambassadors using more superior quality of products they advertise to us..all I knw is I can't buy something I dnt like all because a favourite artiste of mine is advertising it..it's more about value for money!!secondly,i think moral evaluation should be done before appointing someone as a brand ambassador..so many brand ambassadors with questionable attitudes especially in this country#no one is perfect, tho# |

The process behind endorsement is psycological. You don't want to dig into that. |
