Am sure we all remember the beautiful heart-touching story of the “The Pursuit of Happiness”, but do you know the story was only based on real life events and was not an exact depiction of Chris Gardner’s real life.

Here are the “real facts” which are nowhere close to the “reel facts”.

Gardner didn’t get into the training program because of solving that Rubric’s Cube.
His son was not with him for the first 4 months of his training program.
Gardner’s sold drugs and did cocaine when he was struggling.
He also cheated on his wife because of which she left him in the first place

yes all these might be the truth but the bottom line was that he didnt give up.I revisit that wonderful film anytime i feel low in confidence.

Sure you are right, he didn't give up, and that's the focus of the movie, but sometimes its good to get the facts straight. At least for posterity sake. For example the movie created a negative image of his wife, which wasn't meant to be so
