Kano Government Sponsored Pro-Deregulation Rally Ends In Fiasco by RZArecta(m): 4:20am On May 21, 2016

There was pandemonium at the Audu Bako Secretariat in Kano on Friday as thugs allegedly hired by the state government to organise a rally in support of the recent fuel price hike openly disagreed over the sharing of the largesse after the event.
The federal government had last week introduced a new fuel price regime with a litre of the product selling at not more than N145.
The crisis began when the thugs, who were over 100, and were waiting to collect their payments, found that the money was handed over by the sponsors to somebody who was not their leader.
PREMIUM TIMES could not ascertain how much the thugs were given by their sponsor to share and how much each of them was to receive.
The rally was attended by the Kano State Commissioner of Information, Muhammadu Garba; Head of Service, Auwalu Naiyya; the Executive Secretary of Kano Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abba Yakubu and many other top government officials.
When contacted by our correspondent, Mr. Garba declined comment on the matter.
In response to an SMS from our correspondent, the commissioner merely said, “no wahala (problem), go ahead.”
The Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress in Kano, Kabiru Minjibir, said the congress was not involved in the organisation of the rally, alleging that those invited were members of the National Youth Council.
He said the congress was still on strike and that nothing would deter them from continuing with the action.

This country is just too messed up, must everything be politicized? The same people that condemned fuel subsidy in 2012 are now the people hiring thugs to protest in favour of the same subsidy now. This is truly a zoo. Kanu was right.

Buhari came with change...
saying the party is not corrupt,
but Amechi and Fashola are top officials,
'past corrupt officials(PDP) are probed'
and APC members are saints
THUGS ARE PAYED to rally for the FG in the name of the 'people' what a deceit.
whatever be the case, I know God will surely deliver us from this scam we fell for.
if its our sins that brought this upon us, God pls have mercy and forgive us.

Government gifted in lies, deceit, hypocrisy, propanganda.
I hope the voodoo used on some nigerians will clear one day. Some misguided elements, illiterate ellites keep saying deregulation will bring fuel price down, and they fail to tell us while the cost of diesel has not come down since it was deregulated years ago. They keep on deceiving people with the growth in telecoms which have subsitute comparing it with fuel that has no substitute. Nigerians dont be fooled a second time. Say no to this evil

Is this how our president and his APC party are fighting CORRUPTION? Sharing state money for hired protesters?

Nigeria is sinking at a very fast rate since buhari took over.
Money for infrastructural development is now spent on useless protest.

Nigerians when and how did we get here?

And now NLC leaders & members will come and tell us that this is a peaceful protest.

And what concerns Kano State Government in the fuel hike that they have to hire thugs that will create chaos paid or not paid.

With this in motion now, the thugs are claiming that the person given their-monies-to-shared is not their leader, how are they going to settle this feat without it turning to a fight, at the end the Kano State Government will use the Police & other security personnel as last resort and also as shield from the mayhem-to-come.

Just imagine, these APC dudes are shameless. Very shameless. They would do anything to force bad policies down the throat of Nigerians. I only pity gullible NLanders who have made it a habit of defending whatever the government does. In truth ur just like the wind, tossed about anyhow and when the chips are down, OYO would be ur middle name

Lord Lugard must be resurrected and probed for corruption. he has a question to answer and he needs his head checked for mental problems. I wonder what was going on in his head back in 1914.

Esau should be laughing by now. He only sold his birthright for a plate of yam porridge but he did not sell his brain. In the case of zombies, they sold their souls, spirits and bodies to APC for a plate of yam and oil with no salt.
