I believe there is a down-side to using wordpress(WooCommerce)... It isn't as secure as many think. And their upgrades come up too often.
It is better to develop from scratch... You will have more control over it that way.

Just like someone said above, you can use WordPress but it have its limitations.

For achieving what need, i will better use magento or prestashop for it.
