Skin lightening is nothing new. Women and men of color have continued to struggle to achieve fairer, even toned skin since the beginning of civilization.
Some have failed, woefully, if the fair faces and dark feet are any indication, but some have transitioned to light-skinnedom so smoothly you can hardly tell! Here are 8 Nigerian celebrities that may have lightened their skin;

1. TOKE MAKINWA :
The highflying OAP and model subtly admitted to skin lightening when she became ambassador for a skin lightening brand in earlier this year. Her skin, however is the purest example of skin lightening done right.

2. TONTO DIKEH:
Controversial Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has admitted to lightening her skin. She made the revelation as a guest on the show Rubbin’ Minds with Ebuka. Tonto said, “Bleaching can be done the right way. Despite the health implications.” She said she lightens because she likes being fair and wants to enhance the lightness of her skin.

3. OGE OKOYE:
While the actress represents a clear example of skin-lightening, she has neither admitted to, nor denied lightening her skin.

4. FATHIA BALOGUN:
The ever pretty, ever young actress has long from being fair skinned to looking rather white. It was a great transformation indeed, though she has not openly admitted to skin lightening.

5. SEAN TIZZLE:
The discolorations on his knuckles are an indication that the singer has been lightening his skin, and failing at it.

6. CYNTHIA MORGAN:
The German Juice singer has created a niche for herself as the Lady Gaga of the Nigerian Music Industry. She has neither affirmed nor negated the skin-lightening rumors but her skin is clearly lighter than it was before she became an international star.

7. TOYIN LAWANI:
Speculations have circulated about socialite and fashionista, Toyin Lawani’s skin tone. True to her tough demeanor, Toyin Lawani has offered no explanation for the difference in her skin.

8. RUKKY SANDRA:
The beautiful actress hasn’t reacted to rumors of her bleaching since the rumors emerged, but her skin is a tell-tale sign of her skin-lightening indulgence.
