Making the appeal while answering questions at the forum of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, Amaechi said: Rotimi Amaechi “We encountered challenges; were we expecting to encounter those challenges? yes; did we think that we will meet the quantum or volume of those challenges? “We didn’t anticipate that things were this bad. We thought you go to government and there would be money for you to run government and others. “Now you have the situation where there is no money to run government. I hate to use the word difficult; I hate to use the word impossible but we met things close to difficult and impossibility. “That is why Nigerians are impatient; they want to see results and for them, change is not about change in structure, it is about change in their pocket. “Because their pocket is getting dried and they wanted us to put some more resources in their pocket. “Because of the structural changes that we want to put in place is not getting all that they want to get. “ What I usually say to people is that we beg you to give us time; we will achieve our objective if you give us time and we will both thank God for that opportunity.’’ He gave an assurance that money recovered from the ongoing corruption fight, would be used to provide infrastructure. What is Rotimi saying?
From when you guys got into government you told us you met a virtually empty treasury, then we were just on our own and you came to tell us you will recover looted funds from home and abroad. We said no problem, you told us TSA is recovering some trillions that you will utilize in funding your budget (according to you guys, unreasonable to enlightened folks ) we still said no problem. You said you will borrow some money from certain places we said no problem, you said oil is "worthless" and insignificant in funding the budget, that the bulk of the funding for your budget will be from non-oil revenues, we said no problem. Recently you said you will discontinue subsidizing our pms to raise money, we still said no problem. You said you can not implement your budget 100% anymore we still said no problem

What can you possibly be telling us now, implement the little you can APC, you talked tough and so must deliver.

Ameachi got it wrong as to why we are impatient. It is not because the change is taking too long to manifest but because
-- we stil wake up to hear job to only the connected people eg CBN secret recruitment, civil defense secret recruitment etc
--There is no policy direction ie the gov seems not to know exactly what they are doing
--Some highly corrupt people in the society stil dine and wine with our saint
--The 11 presidetial private jets are stil there against the promise of being converted to Nigerian Airways. Does it cost that much to convert them
--PMB has not clearly declare his assets as promised by his humble self. What is the cost of properly declaring his asset that he can not afford.
These are the few reasons among which we seems not to have patient with the government. If all the above had not happened, I and so many would stil be keeping faith in the government.
