I filled my (4 cylinder, 1989 mazda 626) car with NGN 7K fuel last Tuesday. I normally commute 60Km daily to my office (to and fro) for 5 days of the week (no weekend driving). Now, I have just bought another NGN 7K. This is huge on my pocket. Please car experts help! Does my car have a drinking problem? If so, what are my options? |

The option is to park the car at home and use public transport, that is what i have been doing since fuel became N145 per litre |

Justjyde:Drinking problem kwa lol U have to evaluate ur fuel consumption properly b4 u can b advised BTW wats ur engine size How many liters does it consume on hw many km 7k fuel is 48l @ 145 by d way n d least it can give on an average 2.0l 4cylinder car of over 25yrs like urs shld b up to 250km or thereabt on freeway given the abuses it must have suffered with d mechanic over d years ![]() 60km x 5 = 300km, 48l gives u 300km frm wat I can deduce frm ur post n dts nt as bad as u r saying it assuming ur engine is 2.0l. Buhari change jst hit ur pocket ![]() |

![]() Try to dey free the car sometimes. Driving style must change with the change in town. On a serious note, do you see any smoke from the exhaust pipe? If your car drinks heavily, I can bet it smokes. |

I actually finally found out what was wrong with my vehicle. The rear drum breaks were binding. Before I lost the vehicle, fuel consumption came down to about 4K weekly for same driving routine. Fortunately, I survived the car wreck I had a few weeks (less than 4weeks) after it was fixed! Now, I know a little more about that drinking problem RIP Little Blue! Now I am in the market for something more exciting but without a drinking problem!! The CHANGE is real!! ![]() |
