Dark Days Ahead Of Mourinho Capture At Man U by 2Mekus: 9:46am On May 26, 2016
For those who are lazy to read. The report here says Jose Mourinho and his power-wielding agent, Jorge Mendes have taken over the reign in Man U and will definitely leave the club worse than they have met it because only Mendes' mentored players will be good enough for Mourinho in Man U. They did that in Real Madrid and Chelsea. The writer provided facts and citations and reasoning that Ed Woodward is too weak to stop the hurricane when it starts.
...............................................

The Dark Side of Jose Mourinho & Jorge Mendes
Louis Van Gaal had barely taken his seat in front of the assembled press when a barrage of questions were sent his way. The Dutchman grasped hold of the FA Cup, but that mattered little. It was Manchester United’s first time lifting the world’s oldest club competition in 12 years and the first trophy of the post-Alex Ferguson era, yet the journalists just wanted to talk about his successor: Jose Mourinho.

Not that they were to be blamed. A major story had just broken, one which just happened to coincide with United winning a final. When it later emerged that Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes had likely leaked the information that he would be taking over from Van Gaal, few, if any, were surprised. That they had ruined Van Gaal’s moment or potentially jeopardised Mourinho’s long-standing friendship with his mentor mattered little in the context of the bigger picture.
Mourinho and Mendes routinely sabotage others to further their own interests, as Manchester United will learn in time. No trick or shortcut is off limits in the pursuit of power. Anyone who doubts this need only read Diego Torres’ book “The Special One, The Secret Life of Jose Mourinho,“—an eye-opening account of the Portuguese coaches’ three years at Real Madrid.
Brought to the Spanish capital to halt the magisterial dominance of Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona at all costs, Mourinho wasted little time in waging war both externally and internally. His tactic was to turn “the control of information into a fine art,” as Torres explains. Players were intensely briefed on what to say in interviews, something which bothered senior figures like Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos. The main point of contention among his squad and president Florentino Perez was the influence of one man: Mendes

As Torres details, from early on the players found it puzzling that the self-professed super-agent spent so much time at their Valdebebas training ground. Wives, girlfriends, children and relatives of players were banned from the pretentiously titled “City of Real Madrid,” but one man was still allowed access. Mendes would watch the squad run through their drills from the manager’s office on the top floor of the complex, like the Queen peering down on her royal subjects from a perched balcony in Buckingham Palace. At one point, they became convinced that he worked in the building. “There’s the lord and master of the club,” they used to joke.

Mendes’ sway extended to the recruitment and signings. Mourinho attempted to fill his squad with the likes of Hugo Almeida and Raul Meireles, players who were evidently not up to the standard required at the Bernabeu, but were more importantly Gestifute (Mendes’ agency) clients. One Gestifute affiliate who was signed for an enormous fee, Fabio Coentrao, started at left-back ahead of Marcelo, which baffled many within the squad who felt he wasn’t good enough. He even tried to convince Mesut Ozil to leave his agent for Mendes, an offer that the German declined.

A parallel situation arose at Chelsea, where Radamel Falcao was signed on loan last summer, even though the once-magnificent Colombian was obviously a shadow of his former self. That transfer was puzzling…until you delve further into the intricacies of the deal. The link again is Mendes and Gestifute, their fingers in multiple pies.
At Chelsea, Mourinho was restricted in how much control he had over incoming players. Chelsea had a structure in place, led by technical director Michael Emenalo. United are prepared to give him full autonomy, which he has always craved. The problem is, who at United can curb Mourinho’s confrontational side and how wise is it to give him full power? Bobby Charlton, amongst others, has already professed his misgivings about the 54 year-old and what he perceives to be conduct unbecoming of a Manchester United manager. If Mourinho, as he most likely will, surrounds himself with as many Mendes-attached players as possible, that strengthens his position and reinforces his stranglehold on the club, regardless of what he says or does to damage United.

As good as Ed Woodward is at marketing and securing lucrative commercial deals, he has already proved his marked deficiencies when it comes to running the sporting side of things. Not only did he reportedly negotiate a deal in which the club would pay Mourinho £4 million if they didn’t appoint him in May, he also allegedly failed to notify Van Gaal that he would be terminated before the news filtered through to the press. What chance does he have of showing authority with Mourinho?

In conjunction, Mourinho and Mendes wiggled their way into the consciousness of the United hierarchy shortly after he left Chelsea. Mourinho is an undeniably successful coach and there is every chance he achieves great things at Old Trafford. His destructive, antagonistic side is never too far away though. When the mutually beneficial relationship in all likelihood implodes, just like on Saturday, Mourinho and Mendes won’t care for what state they leave the club in or whose toes they thread on. It’ll be self-preservation, just like it always is with football’s most devious double act.

I have the feeling that Mourinho won't get the better of Arsene Wenger again next season. First, he has to rebuild Man U to be able to bring them up to the standard of World beaters, which he would like. Whereas, Wenger only needs fortification here and there and Arsenal will compete seriously next season. He is already in the market and this time very serious knowing this could be his last hooray in Arsnal.

It is you who is funny. Arsenal whacked you 3 - 0 even with you Van 'Girl' in charge and you are here running mouth. Arsenal were the first to inflict Jose Mourinho his first season defeat in Community Shield and thus started his downfall. So what are you yawning about here?
