Solomon ndiagbera a.k.a Osama bin laden,Wisdom amachree a.k.a general adekunle and Nwogu justice chisom a.k.a general j.j have surrendered their arms to the presidential committee on amnesty and disarmament along with their supporters and 34 Ak-47 rifles,four other rifles and over 9,153 ammunition in rivers state.Ndiagbera came with 18 militants,Amachree with 47 while chisom had 4 militants with him.The committee is however expecting the likes of ateke tom,asari dokubo and others to lay down their arms while calling on MEND to show its face & stop its propaganda against the fG of arranging guns to be submitted for amnesty.If this allegation of arrangee is correct,will the amnesty work because it would be recalled that asari dokubo once alledged that he arranged with henry okah to purchase some arms that was surrendered during the obasanjo regime.Will amnesty ever work in nigeria when the underlying problem of niger delta has not been solved?.

The FG has a funny but un-intelligent way of handling issues. Why would an amnesty be announced without a broad outline of all it entails and what the FG would do for all those who renounce militancy. These are guys who have no other means of livelihood and yet the government wants them to back down without an alternative means of living. The amnesty should have been an all-inclusive arrangement with solid inputs from the militants (MEND).

By the way, these militants have a way with aliases sha!

I think the correct description of these guys is "infamous", not "popular".

I think the Militant knows that they are dealing with fools and foolish government.

All they have come out with his few men and some AK 47, and used ammunitions.

What about their anti aircraft batteries and similarly powerful weapons, we have not seen Nada.

I also heared that for each of their 'leader' that surrender, they have another one replacing him, BOYLOAF is a case in question.

They are going to regroup as they sense some insincereity on the part of the FG and they are also playing cat and mouse game. The FG are forced into this Amnesty thing but the man on top of the tree is too busy going all over the world for medical treatment that he his unable to bring the whole thing together.

I am sorry for we Nigerians.
