2005- The South Africa state agency responsible for names of towns and cities approved plans to rename the capital of Pretoria as Tshwana. It has not taken effect since proposed.
2007- Nigeria oil unions said they have suspended a two-day-old strike after the government met their demands over proposed sale of the two state-owned oil refineries.
