• DEMANDS FOR INCLUSIVE GOVERNANCE

The 2015 Lagos State House of Assembly Aspirants have extolled the sterling performance of the Governor of Lagos state, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode for his sterling performance in his 365 days in office.
The group made this known during a world press conference x-raying the performance of Ambode on the democracy day celebration at Excellence hotel, Ikeja.

According to the Public relations Officer of the group, Mutiu Olakunle Alimi esq opined that the Governor has done extremely well and thus deserve everybody’s commendation. The Press statement read thus,: “ We hereby congratulates the amiable, visionary governor of Lagos state, his excellency, governor Akinwunmi Ambode for his unrivalled performance in bringing modern, meaningful development to Lagos state and government closer to the great people of Lagos in the last 365 days in office than any successive government in the state.
“It is an undisputable fact, that you have done exceedingly well in just 1 year in office. you have virtually touched every facet of governance and have given us hope, with you at the saddle of governance; Lagos state could attain that dream of being a super mega city in Africa within the shortest possible time. You have done excellently well in the areas of infrastructural development, security, transport, agriculture, civic engagement among others.
“We are very happy to be identified with the great success your administration has rendered within 365 days in office.
“We are optimistic, you will consolidate on your achievement and touch other areas that could make a significant difference for the people of Lagos state in the remaining part of your tenure.
The group also praise the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his immense contribution to nation building and the success story of Lagos state.

“The success story of Lagos state cannot be told without the mention of our great visionary leader and grand patron of Nigeria progressives. We say big thank you and congratulations to our caring, accommodating, listening and supportive leader of our party; Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the master strategist and father of Nigeria modern democracy. The group affirmed.
The group however appealed to the Governor of Lagos state to make his government accessible and all inclusive. They noted that the LAHA 2015 aspirants are being chided away from contributing their own quota to the development of the state.
They averred that, “our group, Lagos State House of Assembly Aspirants 2015, admonish our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, to involve the state assembly aspirants in the activities of the party in the state.
“The state Assembly aspirants should be seen and perceived as major stakeholders in the affairs of the party in the state instead of being isolated and seen and treated as rebels and outcast by the party officials both at the state and local government levels.
They also appeal to the National leader of the Party to see reasons with their demand.
“The visionary and master strategist of Nigeria modern democracy, Asiwaju Bola Ammed Tinubu had at various times instructed that the 2015 Lagos State House of Assembly aspirants be involved and included in the activities of the party in state, till now, no form of contact had been opened or established with the aspirants”, they noted.
They wondered why the party has not deemed it fit to call them or have a meeting with them as instructed by the National leader of the party.
“The LAHA 2015 aspirants maintains that they remain party faithful’s and are ready to serve in any capacity the party deemed fit. Our member have the requisite qualifications to occupy any political office in the state, national and local government levels.”
The group believes in the party and thus are very hopeful that things would turn around for good.
