Is not everything we must comments especially dis post. Reliable source name withheld, n u expect me to believe dis kind of text? D man is highly known,he is a man of integrity. My sister go n ask very well who is blocking ur results using VC name as an excuse mean while VC doesn't sign results is registrar dat sign results. To help u out go to academic planning unit to check ur results or student affair unit to confirm if truly ur result is ready n signing is d hindrance? Dat is my suggestion.

just 10,000 and you are shouting...let me tell you what I faced in eksu you will know this is just a child's play grin

Bro I will suggest you better look for the money and sort your sister out...this country is so corrupt beyond repair anytime soon and stuffs like this are not being taken serious.

I know this because when I was facing a situation similar to this I and some others went to report the case at the ministry of education and inform them about the challenge we were facing when the news got to back to the institution, they became furious and even added more money to the "theft" and even delayed our certificates for months after
I don't think you know about ABSU.
I am a graduate of ABSU, I applied for my certificate since July 2015 till now my certificate hasn't be ready because of what the Op is saying.
No money should be attached to the Certificate after paying huge amount for clearance
Final Clearance in ABSU is like registry in Private university.
No good equipment in the laboratory.
During accreditation they hire equipment to
present

Please Government should come to this case.

ABSU is losing her Glory

Thanks.

#PRESS_RELEASE!!!
My attention has been drawn to a post in the Internet by Obiageli1 as a user name in (Nairaland) with the caption "#Absu_VC_is_Corrupt, #refusing_to_sign_Cretificates_and_asking_for_money".

On that note, I hereby State as follows:

1.That the said post by Obiageli1 at Nairaland is a purported lie and cheep propaganda against the Vice-Chancellor

2. That the current Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University is a Distinguished man of Valor who has brought back sanity and orderliness to the University.

3. That all results brought to the Vice-Chancellor for signing has always and will ever receive Immediate attention.

4. That all unauthorized fees which students were forced to pay during clearance and other academic related activities has been abolished by the current Vice-Chancellor Professor Uchenna Eleazar Ikonne.
To ensure effective implementation, he gave out his personal phone contact to all student leader ranging from course representative to the apex leadership of the students to enable them report directly any case of molestation, exploitation and extortion by Staffs.

5. How do you expect a man who has dismissed Staffs because of exploitation and other related activities to engage him self in the same act....?

6. That Obiageli1, Nairaland & Co should as a matter of urgency, withdraw this false post and warmly apologize to Our Dynamic Vice-Chancellor, Abia State University and Abia State Government for the embarrassment caused them.

7. I therefore call on the general public to disregard this false post as there is no atom of truth in it.

Thanks!!!

What did you face in EKSU? I'm aware that you pay some amount of money for your certificate in that school. This is not illegal as it is announced on radio. You also pay to the bank and you don't even have anything to do with the VC before you get your certificate. I'm also aware that many Unis. charge for certificates, although amount varies.

I never even collect my cert sef!

bestestgirl:
grin grin grin its not the VC who is delaying you, its those wicked secretaries, they want you to 'roger' them before they even forward it for signing. your certificates are probably not even in the VC's office yet but dumped in a drawer of one of the secretaries.

ABSU is just such a useless school, those secretaries are like demigods

More than useless secretaries and those student affairs people, mixing names and matric numbers.

Even if its not the VC, @least this will draw his attention to stop them.

Cheep propaganda!!!
I am a student of Abia State University and am currently undergoing the above stated stage.
I must say that the Current Vice Chancellor of Abia State University is a Distinguished man of Valor.A man that has brought back light in absu.
For your information, all unauthorized fees which students were forced to pay during clearance and other academic related activities have been abolished. To ensure effective implementation, he gave out his personal phone contact to all student leaders ranging from course representatives to the apex leadership of the students to enable them report directly any cases of molestation, exploitation and extortion by staff.
The story of Abia State university has changed for good since the inception Prof Ikonne as Vice chancellor.
