A two-year-old boy, Musa Muritala, who was tortured and castrated by his step mother in Kano State, has reportedly died.
According to reports, the boy’s legs and arms were broken while he was been tortured.
His step mothers, Zainab and Hafsatu Musa, married to the same man, Murtala Musa, (the victim’s father) were said to have subjected the minor to brutal assault in Gulu town in Rimin Gado Local Government Area of the state.
The social media went agog after news made the rounds that Zainab reportedly broke Musa’s arms and legs, castrated him, damaged his eye and cut his tongue.

According to the report, Musa handed the boy over to his senior wife, Zainab, to take care of, but unknown to him, the boy was usually subjected to torture by the two wives, because he was not their child; he belonged to Musa’s third wife, who had packed out of the house.
The victim, who was reportedly responding to treatment in a hospital in the state, gave up the ghost after several efforts to save him proved abortive.
It would be recalled that the Kano State Police Command had on Monday last week arrested both women involved in the act.
The state Police Commissioner, Abbati Dikko, upon the arrest, had reportedly directed that they be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, for further investigation.
