A Nigerian football fan has compared several Nigerian top artistes to football clubs by carefully matching them according to their popularity, career trends and attitudes. The list which consist of 20 Nigerian artistes include 2Baba, Dbanj, Olamide, Wizkid, Davido, Burnaboy and many more.

See them below

1.Wizkid – FC Barcelona: Because he is talented, invests and buys big, foreign brands also love to endorse and work with him. He is consistently on top. Starboy Wizzy!

2. D'banj – Manchester United: Just like Man-U, he was always on top until he changed management. Nobody is “feeling the Nig*a” anymore!

3. Olamide - Bayern Munich He dominates the home league and remains a force to be reckoned with throughout the industry.

4. M.I Abaga - Juventus - Despite falling off for a while, he returned and stamped his authority on his “league”. No one can ‘touch’ Mr. Incredible when it comes to rapping.

5. Burnaboy – Arsenal FC: If only he can concentrate and leave the distractions aside he would definitely be taking home all the awards. He gets close to the top but falls short thanks to his childish antics. Maybe it’s time he changes his name to ‘BurnaMAN’.

6. 2Baba – FC Real Madrid: Having lots of prestige and history behind him, 2Baba has been a force to reckon with despite changes in the music scene, getting shot at, management crisis, baby mama dramas, influx of young artistes, song theft claims – this man has seen it all and survived. He is truly a king and his brand keeps getting bigger.

7. Brymo – West Ham: Very good and talented, but he never really gets the recognition he deserves.

8. Durella – West Brom: Became known for scoring a few hits and upsetting the big boys but became hugely irrelevant shortly after.

9. Kiss Daniel – Athletico Madrid: He is having a good time at the moment after coming from nothing to become a thorn in the flesh of many of fast rising acts backed by big labels.

10. Timaya – QPR: Strong willed and persistent to stay relevant. He gets relegated off the scene, bounces back, and gets relegated again - the cycle continues.

11. Davido – Manchester City: Backed with plenty of cash and hitting it big at times , he has been inconsistent lately. His controversies haven’t helped him either, but he is still our boy!

12. Small Doctor – Eyinmba: He dominates the local league and remains the street favourite, although we heard his ‘aja’ (dog) refused to ‘Gbera’ (Move swiftly) after he was mobbed by his own fans right in Agege, Lagos.

13. Korede Bello – Dortmund: known and loved by many. He holds his own in the industry despite his age.

14. Teckno – Sevilla: Makes good music, but has not yet measured up with the big boys.

15. Lil Kesh – Chelsea: Mr YAGI made it big thanks to a couple of hits, then it all got to his head, he started causing trouble by making noise and singing rubbish.

16. Patoranking – Tottenham : Tenacious, focused and hardworking, made good for himself despite his humble beginning as a ‘Gala’ hawker. “Nobody wey no fit to make am”

17. Reekado Banks – Leicester City: Was an underdog until his incredible run snatched the crown ahead off the hands of those jostling for Next Rated category at the Headies. Let us see what he can achieve now on the big stage.

18. Mr. Olu Maintain – Monaco: Loved by many thanks to his ‘unique’ style and comic antics but he has never managed to hold his fans attention for too long despite having it all at his disposal.

19. P-Square – AC Milan: Their era of dominance is over, thanks to division and sharing of power in the camp.

20. Kelly Handsome - FC Porto – Went viral after coming onto the Nigerian music scene, he was on top for a brief period before falling short and losing his way. Now forgotten by many.
