Arsenal has tabled a £20 million bid for Jamie Vardy, to trigger the release clause in his contract. However, there's no guarantee that the Gunners will get their man. Vardy could well be making a huge mistake if he opts to leave the King Power Stadium so soon after a breakthrough season that saw him score 24 times and in a record 11 consecutive Premier League games, and win the League.

There are speculations that Vardy should still stay at Leicester City, so as to get further chance of showing to the world how good he is. So we at footyfanz are considering five reasons Vardy ought to consider before making one of the biggest decisions of his career against leaving Leicester City.

He is an icon at Leicester: As things are, Vardy is idolised at the King Power, and the whole team plays through him. He is the first name on Ranieri's team sheet and said to be on a very competitive contract, too. Even Arsenal might struggle to match his reputed £90,000-per-week wages, and Leicester's ambitious Thai owners will probably increase them further in a last-ditch bid to keep him. There isn’t a higher incentive for him to leave since the Foxes won the Premier League and qualified for the Champions League, which won’t be a different experience if he leaves for the Emirate Stadium.
