ENERGYMALL: How To Reduce Your Energy Bills At Home Or At Work by Swave4you(f): 5:38pm On Jun 08, 2016
Hello house,

We are concerned about the endemic power supply challenges Nigerian businesses face and the resultant costs incurred while trying to achieve constant power for basic business operations (Huge PHCN bills plus the diesel generator and maybe, an alternative power system as backup). Phew! Sounds familiar, right? Despite enormous government investment in providing reliable energy, the results are minimal .

Wewant to solve Africa’s energy challenges, a little faster.

This sounds ambitious, maybe a little. But it’s not entirely impossible. Joining forces with the rest of us, your energy bills don’t have to always eat up 30-40% of your operating costs and affect bottomline.

Our approach to the energy problem is quite simple:

1. Put your business (the energy user) in control of its energy consumption.
2. Ensure maximum value for every Naira spent on power.
3. Deliver cleaner, sustainable power you can rely on for your operations.

Aha! Now we see the key to better energy for Africa. It lies within your grasp.

With each enterprise calling the shots about how and when it uses energy, this endemic can be a thing of the past. And rightly so. The world knows Africa is rising!

Once again, you’re welcome on board.

Why is Operations eating up most of the bottomline?

Hello house,
As a sequel to our previous post, we`re kicking off the journey to lower bills immediately.

There are 7 (seven) answers to the above question:

1.    Your building envelope

2.    HVAC/Cooling systems

3.    Electrical supply systems

4.    Lighting

5.    Compressed air systems

6.    Motors (including those used to drive elevators and lifts)

7.    Special purpose process equipment

But we enforce strict energy rules!

Well, if for example you switch off a light bulb (as we’re often advised), you may have saved energy because you reduced your consumption. But the outcome is not the same, because the room is now dark. If you replace the light bulb with a more efficient one, you also saved energy. And the outcome is the better because the room is still illuminated. If there was no need for the light to be on in the room, why fix a bulb at all?

Energy conservation (switching off appliances) is simply decreasing the quantity of energy used, which implies doing less in order to obtain the saving. Energy efficiency, on the flipside means less energy used with same outcome. Compared to any other solution, efficiency is a cheaper, quicker and cleaner option.

If your business has an energy bill of N60, 000,000 per year, a 10% reduction would yield around N6,000,000 per year in lower costs. A 10% net profit often costs you more, with uncertain advertising and the likes.

But with a combination of the correct actions, up to 30% efficiency and cost benefits can be achieved in your facility, immediately. Energy efficiency projects are also low risk as the solutions are proven in practice so you can invest with a high degree of confidence in obtaining the expected returns. If your site is wasting 20% of its energy, you are paying for that, every single day.

And the longer you wait, the more you waste. Get energy efficient today.

Stay energized always!
