Back in the dumbphone/blackberry era, I used to change phones every time my contract was up, about every 1-2 years (or that one time my phone was stolen). Now, I've kept my phone (Galaxy S2) for 3 years and just recently started to think about getting a new phone because it's started to have hardware problems.
It just isn't so important for me to upgrade every time a new phone is out. I can browse on chrome, use google maps/ navigation, and 99% of the apps with no problems aside from a bit of lag.How long do you usually stick with your phone, before buying a new one and why?

Very rarely, I am a person of efficiency, and so until the mobile device can no longer out tech me , it stays.
