On Thursday, June 9, Terror Monitor, an organization which monitors activities of worldwide terrorists groups, posted on its official Twitter handle some photos tagged the “spoils of war captured from Yobe attack”. Meanwhile, the Nigerian army has revealed that the deadly Boko Haram sect is currently locked in Sambisa forest. Therefore, the insurgents cannot come out to launch attack on the rest of the nation. Speaking about the successes in the war against the terrorists, the commander of the counter-insurgency operation in the north-east (Operation Lafiya Dole), Maj. Gen. Lucky Irabor, said that the soldiers are now waiting for the insurgents to surrender as life has become unbearable for them. Shortly after this great news was made public, Sani Usman, the army spokesman, issued another important statement. He disclosed that the troops carried out the joint clearance operation to destroy the Boko Haram enclaves in several villages in Bama local government area of Borno state.
