Militants have continued their bombing campaign of oil and gas facilities in the Niger Delta region with another attack on a facility suspected to belong to Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC).Niger Delta Militants have vowed to carry out more attacks on oil and gas installations in defiance to the federal government’s order fora cease fire. The latest attack, according to Vanguard occurred around Ogidigben, Warri south west local in Delta state, on Thursday evening, June9.A source told Vanguard that the explosion“occurred along the Chanomi Creek around Ogidigben area about 8.00 pm.Though, I cannot give you concrete details of the situation at the scene of incident for now. We got reports from our field office that a loudexplosion was heard at the location, which was followed by a huge ball of fire,” he said.Confirming the bomb attack on the oil facility, a community leader said:“My people called totell me that there was an explosion, they blew up the manifold at Ogidigben and they are going there now to see what actually happened.”Though no group has claimed responsibility for this latest attack, there are speculations that Niger Delta Avengers who have carried out previous attacks may be behind the attack. Recall that the group in a tweet in the early hours of Wednesday, June 8, claimed responsibility for blowing up an oil well belonging to Chevron located 20 meters away from Dibi flow station in Warri North LGA.That attack was less than two weeks after the group blew up Chevron’s Bibi oil well RMP 23 and RMP 24, considered to be some of Chevron’s most prolific onshore oil wells in thewestern Niger Delta.

Please if Buhari cannot hear, his aids should in a matter of urgency use pen and paper or better still use sign language before things get out of control. Let the Federal Government see at least three quarter of their demands and see if there will be cease bombing. As it is now, there is no alternative for our income. All I see is severe hunger ahead.

Well, it wouldn't make a difference, it seems! They have been suffering, but now at least we get to suffer with them after the bombings.

why are people saying that NDA should use dialogue to reslove their differences when they have tabled theor demand which to an extent is very simple and reasonable yet the FG have refused to look into their demand. the problem we have in nigeria is that an average Nigerian is a hypocrite, seeing the truth and turning to the other side placing blame at the wrong place.

Buhari will prefer Nigeria to be destroyed completely than releasing Nnamdi Kanu. He who the gods want to kill they will first block his ears.
