The 2016 Africa Movie Academy Awards held on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Dr. Obi Wali Event Centre, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.

The event was interrupted by power outage for over 20 minutes.


There has been no official statement from the Academy as regards the unexpected situation.


Nigerians also took to Twitter to react to the unfortunate event.

For such event, there should be standby generator.
