The All Progressives Congress, APC, has on Monday night announced the likely defection of the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, through his anti-party activities.

The APC therefore, stated that it has set up a committee to probe the Governor.

The leadership of the party also accused the Governor of appointing card carrying members of the PDP into his cabinet.

This is coming, following the decision of the Tribunal, which upheld Governor Bello’s election.

Consequently, an 11 man probe committee, led by Senator Dino Melaye, was set up after a meeting of Kogi State APC leaders in the National Assembly.

The APC leaders said, “Out of the 15 Commissioners he (Bello) appointed, PDP has 13 card-carrying members, while APC has two .

“Out of the 105 members of the Caretaker Committee members for the 21 Local Government Councils, PDP has 72 while APC has 33.

“Out of the 28 people he appointed as Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants, PDP has 24 , APC has one, APGA has one, Labour has one, Accord has one”

Decamping to PDP will compound his problem as the legal battle over this mandate is still on.Now this is politics for you.Perharps he is no longer comfortable with his coven friends & their style of doing it going by this report if it's true.

I don't agree with the bolden, he is very well covered should he choose to decamp as the sitting Governor since his legal battles at the tribunal is over. Supreme Court will surely validate his Tribunal's position no doubt!

Simple! If he chooses to flip over to the other side - PDP, nothing APC can do about it even if they press charges he will hinge his arguments on the Commissioners, Committee members, State House of Assembly members party colouration (more of PDP members to APC)!
