I don't believe the govt that plans to provide more jobs would sack a whopping 2,000 workers.
It's either they are suspended on disciplinary issues or recruitment process.

They were not sacked neither were dey suspended, they were only selected to do training after they have been picked from a dubious recruitment by GEJ then. they were on training when the new government came and new govt said they should suspend the training.

i dont see reason why they are protesting when they have not been gainfully employed in the first place.

hmmm, i really sympathize with you. but its only in Nigeria that you feel someone that offered you training has to pay you. what happened to you taking whatever you learned from that training and using it to better your life?

the other day, one guy was complaining that the 25k or so being proposed for the N Power program was small. i just laughed. the government is trying to impart entrepreneurship skills in you and put you to work for 2 years while you earn a stipend, and you still complain.

how about people who have to pay to learn these skills, and they are doing well fro themselves...

friend, apart from Gun drills and passport making, tell me any other tangible thing you think they learn during the course of their training... and tell me how they can use it outside the jurisdiction of NIS to make a living.

But they were illegally recruited.
